What's On Guide Cannes

Cannes in September takes to the water with the Boat Show - Festival International de la Plaisance - from 8 September. Entrance is 15 euros and it is the largest boat show on water in Europe. A free boat service links the two show venues - Vieux Port and Port Canto - providing that Cannes WOW factor.

A very good free booking service is to be found at FNAC, 83 rue d'Antibes.  This store sells CDs, computer accessories, camera equipment and lots more.  In the entrance hall is a desk where you can buy tickets for all major events in Cannes and elsewhere, including concerts, shows and sports fixtures.
FNAC is open Monday to Saturday 10am to 7pm (extended to 7.30pm during July and August).

 OUTDOORS
This autumn, up until 26 October, as you stroll along the Croisette you will be stopped in your tracks by several monumental marble sculptures by Paola Epifani, known as Rabarama.
She was born in Rome in 1969 and now lives and works in Padua. Rabarama has been a gifted sculptress since childhood and is now internationally recognised for her beautiful and enigmatic works. The sculptures on the Croisette are her very latest but pop into the grounds of the Grand Hotel on the Croisette to see several of her more colourful works loaded with symbolism.
Every summer a sandcastle artist can be found on the beach creating the most amazing works of art.  Sadly he is not officially recognised by the town and each night his work is bulldozed. So get out your cameras - these works are genuinely fleeting. But the next day, he builds a different one to delight us.
