Take the number 18 bus outside Cannes railway station and a 20 minute journey along winding roads will take you to Vallauris, a place noted for ceramics and glass - and Picasso.
There are many exhibitions to see and lots of shops for those souvenirs.  Try lunch at Café Marianne, three course lunch 19 euros, tel: 04 93 64 30 42 near the Picasso statue in Place Paul Isnard or a drink and snack at Helios Caffe, 52 Avenue George Clemenceau tel: 33 4 93 63 13 80.
You can return on the 18 bus or take an 8 bus to Golfe Juan for a swim and then a 200 bus home.
