Hospital de Cannes, av de Broussailles, has an A&E dept. Expect a long wait. It is often quicker, and no more expensive, to go to a private hospital in town.

Did you know...? There is one "video protection" camera for every 300 residents in Cannes.

Lost Property - an encouraging tale

A few years ago I left my solid silver lighter in an exclusive restaurant in London.  Not surprisingly when I returned nobody had seen it.  Today I am pleased to say that honesty is not dead, at least not in Cannes.  Recently I dropped my wallet, unknowingly, in rue d'Antibes, a pretty exclusive shopping street.  An hour later I arrived home to be informed that somebody had found it in the street and via my business card contacted my partner.

The finder worked at Banana Moon and she was delighted to hand over my wallet with credit cards, money and driving licence intact.  I was just as delighted and rushed round the corner to Happy the flower shop to present her with ten red roses (a dozen would have been more romantic but she was married).
