An unusual place for lunch is La Tonnelle restaurant, at the Abbaye de Lerins, on the Ile St Honorat. It is now open all year, lunchtime only. The boat trip costs 13 euros and the two course lunch is 25 and three courses 29 euros until 16 March 2012. Weekends and national holidays, a la carte only. Great views of Cannes from the restaurant and you can sample some of the monks highly praised wines which were served at the G20 dinner for all heads of state.

Summer Only Trips
The ferry to St Tropez  takes 1hr 15 mins leaving Cannes 1-30 June and 15-30 September every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and daily from 1 July to 15 September.  The boat leaves at 10.15am from Quai Laubeuf and returns from St Tropez at 4.30pm, arriving 5.45pm. Return trip cost 42 an adult. Advance booking required.
Every Tuesday and Saturday there is a Provencal market.
A Giant street sale takes place in October. Boat leaves at 9.30am returning at 4pm and costs 41 euros. 
 
The ferry to Monaco costs 47 and leaves Quai Laubeuf at 10am.  It returns from Monaco at 4.30pm arriving Cannes 5.45pm, operating 15 June to 15 September every Wednesday and Friday. Advance booking required.
Changing of the guard at the palace takes place daily at 11.55am.
 
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 June to 30 September a two hour pleasure cruise, with commentary, along La Corniche d'Or is available costing 25.  It departs Quai Laubeuf at 2.30pm. You need to book in advance.
 
Enjoy the fabulous summer fireworks in Cannes Bay from a boat. Price is 18 euros and the boat leaves at 9.15pm. 
 
 
Get up close to watch the Royal Regatta, Cannes Bay in September.

ALL YEAR FERRIES

Iles des Lerins - several ferry companies operate from Quai Laubeuf to Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat all year round. There are regular sailings costing 11.50 return for adults and 13 euros to St Honorat

There is a combined St Marguerite and Corniche d'or excursion leaving 1 June-30 September Monday, Wednesday and Fridays costing 30 euros. Prior booking needed.

Iles des Lerins -   You can take a picnic, eat at the kiosks or La Guerite restaurant on St Marguerite.
