For the serious body builder terrifying torture equipment is to be found in the Republique area of Cannes at the inaptly named Soft Fitness, 18 rue du Docteur Calmette, next door to the Cannes Archives.
It's good value, though, with a session of whatever length during a day costing only 10€. Ten sessions cost 80€ and a week's subscription may be obtained for 30€.
Classes take place during the week such as Jazz dance-fitness, Body Sculpture, Pilates, Body Street (street dancing) and something called C.T.A.F. (Cuisse Taille Abdos Fessierds).
Open Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1pm.
